Bridal shower...

Alright so I know I had my bridal shower forever ago... But I was just looking at my camera today and I came across my bridal shower pictures. I haven't blogged in a while so here I am. I had such a happy wedding. I loved the feeling of being so close to marrying the man of my dreams! It was exciting and scary and amazing!!!! I loved the anticipation. I'm so much happier being a married woman. Married to my best friend. He loves me greatly and I couldn't even imagine a life without him. He's my whole life. <3

My new calling in life..

So last Sunday I attended church at our new ward for the first time here in Nebraska. We finally got our records moved into our new ward and we had a great time getting to know all the people in the ward. a few days later the bishop and one of his counselors asked if they could come over to meet with us. Can you only guess what they came for? They gave me my new calling!! In the primary. I am the new Primary Secretary! I knew there was a reason I was called as the Primary Secretary in my old ward in Nauvoo. Its totally made accepting this calling so easy. I know I have the support of my husband and I have a good idea of what I am doing! The lord works in such mysterious ways!! AND he works so fast! I mean only after about a week of living here.. I am in a new calling! its so great! Im actually really excited to start working with these sisters in my ward. They are really great and I think we will have a lot of fun. It will keep me busy while Marcus is busy with school and Basketball. I know it will be great. WE are both very very happy here. Everything has been so great here in Nebraska.

Home Sweet Home!

So we are now living in a cute little apartment in Scottsbluff Nebraska. I really like it here in Scottsbluff its a small little place but it has a Walmart! Oh happy days, it has a Walmart! :)



Our apartment is a one bedroom apartment. At first I thought it would be too small, and I thought it was really pathetic looking. lol I actually really love it. It feels so good to come home to this little place and have that great feeling that I am home! I love that. Its our home. It feels so good to be able to curl up next to my husband and watch a movie in our home. And making meals for Marcus just feels so good! :) It makes me happy to be able to take care of him, and have him take care of me. He is everything to me!! Im so happy to be sharing such a wonderful life with him. He makes home feel like home. :)

Just Married!!

Alright so I have been seriously slacking!
Marcus and I were married two weeks ago. It has seriously been the most amazing two weeks ever. We have had so many adventures together. :) We had our honeymoon in California and it was a blast! We traveled back to Utah after our honeymoon and packed up all our stuff woke up early the next morning and traveled to our new home in Nebraska. It was an 9 hour drive and I was exhausted but we did eventually make it.We unpacked everything and then drove away to Nauvoo for yet another wedding reception. It was great. Marcus really started to enjoy listening to books as he drove. It kept him awake and entertained. It was really funny listening to him get really into the book. :) He loved it. It was a lot of fun. After our reception in Nauvoo we finally made it back to Nebraska where I finally got to set up our new home. Its been so great. I have never been so happy!!

WORK!

I finally got a new job, thanks to my Uncle Steve!! I work for Varsity as a JanOPS Specialist!! I'm a custodian at the ATI Titanium LLC (Allegheny Technologies UTAH Plant) Its great! I work from 6 am- 2 pm 5 days a week! I get to wear a hard hat and safety glasses every time I leave a building to walk on site and I have to carry an emergency respirator with me at all times in case of an emergency. I guess the fumes get pretty intense at the plant. I do have to clean a mens locker room... thats probably the most intense part of my whole job because the plant is filled with men! With the occasional woman. Its been pretty neat tho. They are super nice people. Its only my first day of course and I still have lots to learn. for the most part it pretty simple. Lots of buildings to remember but after a full 8 hours working going from building to building im pretty sure I have the hang of things. Or im getting there. :) It will be a great way to earn money because I especially need the money!! Life is getting pretty wild right about now and Im still trying to figure things out with My amazing man Marcus.. But that will be told on another day. :)
YAY for work!!! I am so happy! My uncle rocks!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMBER!!

So I got to spend my birthday with my wonderful Marcus!! He took me out to dinner at Outback Steak house. yummy!! I got a birthday Ice cream. :)
Marcus then took me to his dad's house where I got to meet his dad and step mom. Very nice people! we had a lot of fun just sitting and chatting. They made me feel very welcome. :) after that we went to the gas station where we got a movie from the redbox. we got the harry potter movie. Part 1. Neither of us had seen it so we decided it would be a good one to watch together. :) We went back to his apartment where I met 5 of his roommates. Talked to them a little bit, then invited them to watch the movie with us. Which some of them did, but a few of the others left to go do their own thing. It was a pretty good movie. A little different from the other harry potter movies.. but it was still fun. After that I had to drive to grantsville. which was like an hour drive. It was a ton of fun tho. I was really happy to get to see Marcus on my birthday. Especially because I hadn't seen him in a week and a half. So I really missed him. He gave me an amazing birthday. He even took off the rest of his work day just to spend time with me. I know that was a little hard for him because it was the best time to be getting sales and he needs those sales. So it really means a lot to me that he would do something like that for me. He is so sweet to me. I love him. He also got me an amazing birthday present!!!! lol can you even guess what it is????

those AIR JORDAN HEELS that I blogged about earlier!! I'm really excited! I couldn't even believe that he did it. I never even expected it!! I was just happy to get to be with him. it was amazing. I told you he was so good to me. I'm spoiled. lol well im off now. Until next time.. I guess we'll see what amber is up to. :)

Mothers Day!!

The day to celebrate our mothers is here again! Its a much needed holiday. We really do need to show all our love and appreciation to our mothers. They do so much for us. I know my mom does so much for me.

My mom has been there for me through thick and thin and has loved me through it all. She has been my best friend. She's been someone I can always rely on. Some one I know I can be honest with and always know she will be honest with me. Even if I dont always enjoy hearing her honest opinion, I know she is always right. She has never let me down. She's defended me and protected me. She has taught me and guided me. She has a true love for me as her daughter and I know that will last forever. My mother is amazing. I look up to her, and I hope that when the day comes, and I have my own children, I can be all to them as she is to me. I love you mom, Happy Mothers Day!

Braces Free!!

Well after 2 and a half years of wearing braces I finally got them off! :) I am very happy!!! When they took them off it felt so weird! I cant remember what it feels like to have my bare teeth! It felt like all I had were my gums! haha and when I looked in the mirror... MAN it freaked me out. I cant even remember what I looked like without my braces.. they kind of became a part of my life.. lol and now they are gone!!

Im pretty happy with the way I look without them. Its still going to take a while to get used to.. But you wont hear any complaints from me... You'll just see a whole lot more smiling!

Today is Marcus' 22nd birthday! I'm super sad I didn't get to celebrate today with him so i'm making a special birthday blog for his special day. so.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARCUS JOHNSON. You are an amazing man and I look up to you. I think you are so incredible and I hope you have the most special day. Even if I embarrass you by writing to the whole world all about you... I'll have the world know i'm telling them the complete truth about you. You are amazing. You are wonderful and today is your day. Happy Birthday.

Doggy Hair Cut!

I was given the task of buzzing Bentley and Baileys hair. It was a HUGE mess. I thought Bailey would be the worse to cut. She is such a dork. I was dreading her hair cut. But my goodness! Bentley was wiggling everywhere. He did not like that thing coming anywhere near his neck! When it was Baileys turn, she struggled a bit at first, but she basically took a nap on sages lap while she waited for the hair cut to end. The dog hair was everywhere!!!! I made the mistake of wearing my black sweatpants so I had piles of white hair all over my legs and shirt and arms and face. It was so gross, and it tickled like crazy. It was so crazy, But I had a blast doing it. Even if Bentley looks a little silly now because we couldn't get all the hair off his neck. He's still a cute chubby guy. I love those dogs.

Air Jordan Heels

Alright so my little sister showed me these Nike heels and I think they are pretty intense! I would totally own these and wear them proudly. Nike Air Jordan heels... could it get any better than that? lol Men love there basketball shoes and now I can love mine in style. lol No joke these things are rockin it. I totally want them. I NEED THEM!! lol

Nauvoo

One thing I really miss about Nauvoo is the temple. Its so beautiful. Its something I look forward to seeing every time I come home! I love it. It makes me happy, and its what makes me feel truly at home whenever I am in Nauvoo. 

I guess every temple makes you feel that way no matter where you are. I just know this temple really well. Its the one I grew up with. Its the first temple I have ever gone into. Its special to me. So it makes Nauvoo special to me too.

I'm glad to be home for a bit! But I cant wait to continue my adventures in Utah too. I'm hoping I can make another place feel just as special. :) I'm pretty sure I can. So far life has even been pretty special. I guess I can't wait to see what I make of my life. 

Easter Fun

So this easter I have spent a lot of time with my family and Marcus and his family.

Sage, Conner and I all went over to our aunt and uncles to watch there kids and help them decorate eggs for easter. Which was a blast. We even got all creative and melted wax over the tops of some of them. It was really neat. Conner colored an egg gold and put it in the chicken coop, and then gabby went out side to collect the eggs from the coop for her mom and found that one of the chickens had laid a golden egg. She was pretty excited. they all were. it was so funny. 

  I also decorated eggs with Sage and Conner at Tracy's and Steve's. Easter eggs are so fun! I seriously dont think you could ever be too old to decorate an egg. :)

Saturday our family all went over to Lee and Trish's house for a little family lunch and early birthday party for Gabby and Trisha. all the kids got to hunt for easter eggs. Even all us big kids got to run around and find easter eggs. They even tied an egg to a chicken and had us chase it down. pretty fun stuff. 

Right after that I went over to Marcus' house and spent some time with his family. We decorated some eggs and took some fun crazy pictures of our amazing easter spirit!

Sunday the day of Easter, Marcus  picked me up for church! I love going to church with him and his family. :)  Marcus gave an amazing talk in sacrament! He said there was a lot he wanted to say and couldn't quite get it all out. I thought it was just what it needed to be. I really enjoyed listening to him. I always do. He can really teach me a lot. I don't think he even realizes how much he teaches me! I love being with him.

After church we went to his house and we all took an easter picture together. Then eventually made our way to a missionary farewell party for a guy in their ward. There was some yummy food there! :) I got to spend the whole day with Marcus. I'd have to say that it was the best kind of day! And a great easter.

Catching up

So I am way behind in blogging! Tons has happened in the past few months and most people dont even know the slightest of whats going on in my life. Allow me to shed some light on the matter. As you know, I am living in cedar city with sage for the next month and a half. Cedar is a pretty lonely place but I have been running a lot and have come to love the view of the area we live in. I have even met a few people in my ward here in cedar. Super nice people. I even helped out in primary class a bit ago. It was a ton of fun being with the little ones and being able to help out. I have never gone to a singles ward but I have met someone who is AMAZING. His name is Marcus and he is wonderful. My amazing aunt Tracy actually is the one to thank! She had us add each other on facebook and had told us about each other so it was up to us to actually commit to meeting. Which we did and it was absolutely fantastic. He lives in Grantsville. He served a mission in Canada and has been back for about 6 months. We met for the first time on our first date together. He is such a gentleman. very fun to be with. simply amazing. and 6 foot 10 inches tall. :)
We are now actually dating. Yes, I know I have kept a lot of people out of the loop. haha I've just been running around with him getting to know him and we've been having a great time together. He treats me like a princess and I am very happy I met him.
I am also moving to grantsville to do my CNA courses (which I need to get all registered for! I've been slacking.) I'll be living with Tracy and Steve while i do that. because they are amazing and so very willing to let me stay. they are such a blessing! my whole family is such a blessing. they all have helped me so much. it has been amazing.
So this summer I will be hopefully doing some Nursing. have a job somewhere. I guess we will see what happens. I'm praying for the best to happen, faithful it will happen how it should as long as I do my best. :)
Right now my plans before the summer are, Drive to Nauvoo with my Grandparents, Sage and Maxx. (which I am currently doing right now.. im at the days inn motel). Get my braces off in Nauvoo, Drive my car back to grantsville with sage. Pick up my cousin Kaylea and drive to California to watch my uncle Davids kids for about a week. Drive all the way back to grantsville spend a week there celebrating mine and marcus' birthdays. Drive to Cedar City to pack up my things officially. Then move in to my aunt and uncles house. :)  HUGE adventure! BIGGEST ROAD TRIP EVER!! lol it should be a lot of fun.
well i know this post isn't much. I just wanted to get all caught up. the rest of my blogs will be more specific. I have things about easter and i'll blog about my trips in more detail as they happen. SO until then... Ta Ta For Now. :)

Singles ward anyone...

I have been going with Sage to her ward ever since I have gotten here. Its absolutely awesome. the people are really nice and the lessons are great. Its just a really nice ward, but the only problem is.. that its a family ward full of families with young kids. I've done my time in a family ward and I know im still fairly young but I still cant help feeling out of place there. :)
I want to meet people my age!! I mean there may be some young men in the ward that are 19.. but they are leaving on missions. I just want to at least start meeting young people that I can mingle with. I have very little in common with people in the family ward. They all have kids they talk about.. and how being a mother and wife influences there life, and so on. which is fine. I just feel like I'd have a better time being able to go meet people my age. make some good friends here in cedar city that I can get to know and have a good time with them.
A problem with finding a singles ward is.. that there are roughly about 10 LDS chapels here in cedar city alone. lol I seriously have never seen so many in one place. mostly because there is only one in Nauvoo and most of the people in our stake have to travel for hours just to get to stake events. Its amazing that there are so many here!!
I love this place! I really really do. I just tend to get kind of lonely with no one to talk to, other than sage and maxx.. and the occasional phone call to mom or dad. having young friends my age would be really nice! :)

Laziness Justified..

So.. there's really not a whole lot to go out and do in cedar city. There could be things to do, but I suppose you actually have to put out the effort to go do something in a completely strange city. The only place I really know here is the apartment I am living in and Walmart where we buy things. I could go completely crazy and try to find something really great and social to do with people... but thats just completely out of my comfort zone at the moment.
So what a better way to spend a day then playing with your sisters dog Maxx. He has plenty of energy trust me! So it's the least I can do to wear him out as much as possible each day.. I mean some days he's just completely restless... and thats just no good.
He can be a big pain sometimes, but he's a really smart dog. He knows what to do to get himself treats. One day we were doing some tricks with him and I tried to get him to spin just because it would be fun and he did it. and he got a treat! So of course he knows all he has to do is keep spinning until I toss him a treat. Of course there is the disadvantage.. he's gotten really bad at sitting on demand... he just stands on his hind legs and spins.. and then looks at you all confused. Like he thought he was doing what we wanted.. and why aren't we giving him a treat.To be honest it can make me feel guilty.. because he's doing a trick! its just not the one I want. But the way the dog looks at you... his little puppy dog eyes as he just sits there and looks at you all innocent. lol thats why dogs are so smart... they know its easy for a weak human like me to give in to his little doggy demands sometimes. He's a cute little guy, I am happy I get to play with him everyday instead of spending time with other people. lol

Valentines Day with Sage

Well, neither Sage or I had someone to share the day of love with... Zach is away at basic training and I don't even have a love. lol But I do love my sister. So what better person to share valentines day with, than my own sister and her dog Maxx. 

We spent the day being lazy for a little bit deciding what we were going to do. Then we began to make a yummy dinner. We made pasta!! Then got all ready for a Hilarious movie! GNOMEO AND JULIET. It was awesome and a very fun way to spend the day. We didn't really do all that much, but we did make the most of it.
